About the project
Developing capability of students in preparation for future agricultural advisory and extension roles presents pedagogical and practice challenges. The diversity among students as well as diverse professional demands in workplaces must be factored into the design and delivery of educational offerings. This research aims to evaluate the development of capability of students for advisory and extension roles in the modern workplace on completion of the University of Melbourne Masters-level subjects. The objective of the research is to explore the extent to which the educational design, including work-integrated learning and observation of advisory and extension practices, accounts for student diversity and aligns with future roles and careers of students.
