The human nutrition research group has capacity to design, develop, and test:
- effective nutritional interventions to promote health and well-being;
- the effects of nutritional interventions on biomarkers to identify mechanisms in disease development;
- factors that predict responsiveness to dietary interventions (“precision nutrition”); and
- how nutrition and other health behaviours (ie. physical activity, sleep) interact to influence health outcomes.
