Research infrastructure and facilities
Linked with national and international research initiatives and accessible to the wider scientific community, our research is supported by state-of-the-art research infrastructure and facilities.
Explore our facilities
Research laboratories and analysis equipment
Across our campuses, we're home to state-of-the-art biogeochemistry, ecophysiology and ecology, molecular genetics and food sensory labs.
Plant growth facilities, farm and nursery
Controlled environment studies are an essential tool to assess the responses of plants to environmental stresses or changes in our climate. Across Burnley, Creswick and Dookie campuses we have a range of glasshouse facilities for controlled environment studies.
The Burnley Campus is a showcase for green infrastructure elements in the built environment. The green infrastructure has been built into some of the buildings on campus but some of them are also used for research purposed.
Field research sites and field work support facilities
Field research is a core part of our practice – a chance to see your work in action – and we carefully cultivate field research sites and specialised fieldwork support facilities.
