Current and predicted changing climates require a new approach to agriculture to ensure viable, productive, and healthy agroecosystems into the future.
Our research investigates novel approaches to agricultural land management designed for resilience to fluctuating climates and gathers scientifically robust evidence to ensure that they provide the best possible solution for the long-term. Our research considers the system – the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum – overlain with a focus on ecosystem resilience and biodiversity. We consider the social and economic implications of, and barriers to, adoption of novel agricultural systems. Our work is largely field-based and supported by mechanistic studies and modelling.
