Professor Ian Woodrow

How plants synthesise and store secondary metabolites, with a focus on Australian native species and metabolites of commercial interest.

Project topics:

  • Characterisation of polyploid eucalypts for essential oil production
  • Micropropagation (tissue culture) of flavanone-rich eucalypts
  • Characterisation of recombinant monoterpene synthases from eucalypts
  • Ornamentation of medicinal flavonoids from eucalypts
